GSS has sent out it's COVID-19 Response letter to the faculty, along with the following message:
Hello Irma and Jason,
We hope you and your families are well!
As you know, Covid-19 has significantly changed research as well as everyday life. Graduate students have penned the attached letter to help communicate to the department how these changes have had a substantial impact, both in ways that are similar to faculty and ways that are unique to graduate students. We hope the letter is useful in understanding students’ greatest concerns.
You both have previously been encouraging of student input in the department, which assures us that this letter will hold weight in future decisions. GSS leadership is happy to discuss the contents of the letter.
